Knistelfitz... this is Frank Ulbricht. That's it. Only Frank... In 2011 he had a surprising amount of time - and then he looked at his piano, guitar and iMac... and tadaaa: Knistelfitz was born. He started making music as "Mr. Knistelfitz and His One Man Orchestra" - simply because he recorded and sang all the music himself... but in the end the "Mr. and Orchestra" stuff was just too long and complicated - that is why he has simply been “Knistelfitz” since 2020. He learned piano and drums as a child - and everything else such as singing, guitar, bass and ukulele was added later through self-study. In 2016 he released his first original album "The Place Just Went Bananas" - and it went straight to number 152 on the iTunes Album Alternative Charts (that's at least better than number 153 - and hey - at least it was in the charts...) always again he also loves covering songs by Brian Fallon, The Gaslight Anthem, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Thees Uhlmann, Adele, Coldplay, Bob Dylan, Pink, Oasis and U2... sounds like a wild mix?
